The  Visconde de Chanceleiros House is  located in the heart of the Port Wine region in the Douro Valley, an area which was classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 2001. 

The Bocking family bought the house in 1994. It was restored but still conserves its original characteristics which date back to the early eighteen century.

The heart of the house is a huge living room and a magnificent veranda which allows for an astonishing view of the Douro Valley. The bedrooms are comfortable, modernly equipped, and they are right next to the pool. A combination of facilities provide the hosts a wide range of options: swimming, playing tennis and squash, and jacuzzi bathing. 

You will find a beautiful relaxing environment in a outstanding countryside. After a delightful breakfast on the veranda, overlooking the Valley, you can discover the countryside by hiking in the surrounding vineyards . You can visit different quintas, enjoy and learn more about the varieties of Ports and Wines of the region. Or spend the day around the pool, walk through the beautiful garden or get sporty with the different sports activities the house offers. In the evening you will enjoy a tasteful dinner in a relaxing elegant atmosphere. The quietness and the pretty comfortable rooms will give you a peaceful rest.
