Led by  Graça Soares, the project  Ervas Finas was born in January 2006, being recognized as one of the most innovative and dynamic projects of the Douro. In only 1.5 hectares (4 acres), the  Ervas Finas is a kind of "edible garden" of flavors, colors, shapes and textures, grown organically.  Ervas Finas is responsible for the production of aromatic herbs, edible flowers, baby vegetables, and native Portuguese micro-flora  and other species worldwide. Located in Fonteita, Andrães, Vila Real, the company also has an Interpretation and Development Center, which includes an experimental kitchen, where herbs, flowers and exotic flavors are combined and tested. Our garden and kitchen are of great appeal to the senses and transform every visit into an enriching learning experience.
