The viewpoint is located atop a crag, in the parish of Adeganha, and it oversees the extensive Vilariça Valley. In this place are the ruins of a pre-roman village.
During the last weekend of August, a pilgrimage is dedicated to the Senhora do Castelo (lady or woman of the castle). The Senhora do Castelo is part of a trilogy along with the Senhora dos Anúncios (lady or woman of announcements) and the Senhora da Rosa (lady or woman of roses), who are all related with the development of an agricultural culture in the valley, with seasonal traditional festivities, and with the agricultural cycles of nature, from the planting to the collection of crops.
The sanctuary is composed of two main chapels: São João Baptista and the Senhora do Castelo . There are two smaller chapels: Nossa Senhora de Fátima and Santa Filomena.
For lovers of all terrain adventures, there is a track that we recommend because of its complex terrain and the wonderful views that you can enjoy as you ascend.
